/It has always been intriguing the types of conversation you hear at a barbershop. From stock tips to full on venting sessions. Barbers and those in the beauty industry seems to also require developed listening skills. On any given day they may encounter 15-25 clients. In order to relate to their clients not only do they have to satisfy the clients' needs, they must also engage in conversation. Just imagine the kind of patience this job teaches you. Certainly, it isn't the only reason, but we know that this patience leads to loyal clients. We should also assume that this kind of patience is what allows us to build something that leads to a long-term payoff, like residual income. With today's interview with Audrey we note the importance of loyal clients. Read her responses below and use them as motivation to start or continue your own plan for success
What lead you to start working as a barber? How long have you been doing it?
-As long as I can remember I wanted to be a Hairdresser! After that I discovered that I can do only the men! And I fell even more in love with my job.That was 5 years ago.
Would you consider this your passion? Do you have another field or venture that you work in?
-Yes, it is my passion! Every chance I get I talk about it! I'm also an emergency dispatcher, but I don't work in that field at this time.
What is your craziest client experience?
-Actually I think that every client that I have has a little crazy in them! haha, some talk to me about cheating on their wives and sometimes I'm the first to know that they're going to propose.
What is the one thing you want to accomplish this year(in business)?
-I would live to give more lessons, to give my passion to a young barber
What is one long term goal you have in life?
-I would love to open my own shop and have a little school in it.
Lastly, what is your ideal retirement scenario?
-It's so far from now, I don't know! haha
